Find out more about the the Light Factory which takes place during our 10am Sunday morning service.

Little Lights is for 0-3 year olds and is held in the vestry at the back of the main church, where we have lots of toys suitable for babies and pre-schoolers. We also have a comfy sofa for parents and babe-in-arms who need somewhere quiet to escape to, and lots of story books.

Little Lights runs every week during the 10am service except for during family services (when the vestry is still available for parents and children to play if required). At least two members of the team are present each week to supervise and parents are welcome, and encouraged, to leave their children with us during the service - rest assured if they need mum or dad we will come and find you in church!

Sparklers is for children in nursery and Reception.  At Sparklers the children enjoy Bible stories, songs, crafts and games, as well as playing with toys and going outside when the weather is fine. Parents are welcome to stay with or leave their children according to the child’s needs. We always have one leader and one helper at each session. Sparklers is held in the Old Vicarage and lasts for approximately one hour, doors open at 9:55am.

Wildfire is for children in school year 1-6 (ages 5-11).  At Wildfire we cover a range of topics and characters in the Bible using drama, craft, discussion and games. The material is sourced from Urban Saints.  Wildfire also includes worship, a time for free play, drinks and snacks, and a prayer corner.  Wildfire takes place in the Church Hall and doors open at 9:50am.  At the end of the session children are escorted to church by their leaders for the end of the service.

Children's and Families' Worker

Hi, my name is Clare and I’m really excited to be here at St John’s and St Andrew’s as Children’s and Families’ Worker.  I first started working with children at the age of 16 when I became a Junior Church helper at the church I attended with my family.  During my first year at university I felt God was calling me into a career in children’s ministry and so I began to gather as much experience and training as I could through my local church.  I became involved with Junior Church, Holiday Club, All Age Services, Messy Church and School Assemblies.  Between 2011 and 2013 I studied for a Diploma in Children’s Mission and Ministry at Cliff College in Derbyshire and in 2015 I returned to Cliff to do a short course in Schools Ministry.  Before coming to Woodbridge I worked at St James the Great Church in Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire for just over three years as their Children’s Worker.

I love teaching children about God’s Big Story and helping them understand that they can be part of that story now – not just when they’re all grown up!  I especially enjoy visiting schools for assemblies and clubs.  I’m also passionate about All Age worship.  I’m excited to get involved with the children’s and families’ ministry here in Woodbridge and I’m looking forward to running kids clubs, family outreach events and lots of other exciting things!

If your child is 11-18yrs they can attend Revival Youth cells on a Sunday in the Old Vicarage. Find out more on the Revival Youth pages of our website.
